The Story Of My Skin
The Story Of My Skin
Entry for and second place winner of the Story of my Skin art contest.
Rare and/or chronic skin conditions can leave you feeling vulnerable, ragged and brittle. Their lasting effects get written on or even carved into our skins. Every spot, scar or wound tells a part of our story and experience, of what we've been through and what shaped us. But they also show what we've overcome, how we've grown, and maybe even find beauty in it all.

This artpiece was made in traditional media (fineliner, Ecoline brush markers, white gel pen and ink washes), every line was freehanded, no rulers or other helping hands.
